Lee Ann Miller - White Cran Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup brown sugar In you mixer, blend shortening and butter together. Then add the brown and white sugars, and eggs.
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon soda
1-1/2 cups cran-raisins
2 cups quick oats
1 cup nuts (optional) – I have used raw pecans in the video
2 cups white chocolate chips
1 splash vanilla
Next add the flour, salt and soda into the mixture.
Finally, add vanilla, nuts, cran-raisins, and white chocolate chips.
Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. (I use a 1-1/2 inch cookie baller.)
Flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-11 minutes.
